About ATSA Practice
The Air Traffic Skills Assessment is a gate for thousands of people who want to become air traffic controllers, yet almost nothing official describes what it feels like to take. ATSA Practice exists so the first time you see each section isn't on test day.
How we build the sections
We start from public sources: FAA hiring pages and announcements, government reports on controller hiring, and write-ups from candidates who have taken the test. From those descriptions we build our own exercises. Nothing is copied from the real test, which is confidential.
- Game-style sections generate fresh items every run from a seeded generator, so you can't memorize them.
- Generators are checked automatically: every item solvable, one correct answer, balanced answer patterns.
- Timing runs on real elapsed time and copes with switching tabs, so pacing is honest.
- Every section works with a keyboard and on touch screens, with visible focus and text labels.
What we won't claim
We are not the FAA and we are not affiliated with anyone who makes or delivers the ATSA. Our sections are practice in a similar format, not a replica. The FAA says no preparation is necessary; we think familiarity helps people show what they can actually do, but we never promise a score, band or job. Read the full disclaimer.
